Hogsback Heritage Writing ProjectStitches, Slings and Medicine Bags
In conjunction with the Boulder Heritage Festival, a book is compiled to expand upon the festival theme. We invite you to help us document and celebrate our community’s history by submitting an article, story, photos, poetry, interviews, essays, etc. for the publication.
This year’s theme Stitches, Slings and Medicine Bags hopes to explore the early medical care in our remote town and as well as current medical availability.
Some ideas:
- Native American healing practices
- Pioneer medicine and remedies
- Early doctors and caregivers
- Clinics and hospitals
- Personal experiences of medical needs or practices
- Emergency medicine
- Homeopathic medicine
